A Kodàly approach to the Korean traditional play song「Eokkedongmu」(An old playmate)
코다이 접근법을 통한 한국 전래놀이노래 「어깨동무」의 지도방안

The purpose of this thesis to develop Kodàly's music play which can access easily through play and music. This study developed Kodàly's music play using the Korean traditional music play, Korean traditional dance, and Korean traditional instrument.

The reason why I selected transmissive play song as a traditional learning material is that one can access song easily. People can feel the pleasure of play and learn the traditional rhythm naturally. Also, they can enlarge the expression ability like play, music and dance through Kodàly's music play.

I developed Kodàly's music play as an investigation method and activity stage like this with transmissive play music An old playmate.

First, An old playmate whose transmissive play music is familiar and accessible song.

Second, I gave priority in learning Korean traditional rhythm as an element of rhythm learning and selected transmissive play music.

Third, I selected a transmissive play music focusing on traditional rhythm. It is Danmori-changdan, that is, An old playmate which is often shown in a music textbook in an elementary school.

Fourth, in a traditional rhythm, we make them learn through word rhythm play as an oral sound rhythm of janggu, playing percussion and dance play, which utilize traditional dance step. Therefore, an oral sound rhythm of janggu becomes the basic material of Ostinato and Canon playing .

Fifth, it is developed into activity of music drama like <sowing> and <harvesting> which is suitable to a theme.

Sixth, I'd like to develop drum dance as a traditional dance tool on the basis of the basic dance step. I limited the traditional dance step as accessible sweeping the rear hair, turning around the marble, curbing the front and rear side of a snare drum as a basic dance step.

Seventh, music play which is evolved worth rhythm play → singing song with hands sign → quest of traditional rhythm → Canon playing(chorus) →playing of rhythm Ostinato(bodily percussion ensemble) → bodily expression(transmissive play) → the quest of traditional dance step and ensemble activity.

Eighth, activity sphere can change and delete activity order according to learning circumstance and student level.

Transmissive play music which is the traditional learning material, traditional musical instrument and the traditional dance step has an emotion of Korean race. I can feel the pride and affection. It can be a good learning material to have identity of our race.

본 연구에서는 우리나라 전통음악이나 놀이 또는 전통춤을 학습제재로 코다이 접근법을 통해 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 음악놀이지도방법을 개발하는 것이 목적이다. 전통적인 학습제재로 전래놀이노래를 선택한 것은 놀이와 노래가 있어서 놀이를 하면서 노래를 쉽게 배울 수 있을 뿐 아니라 놀이를 하는 재미를 느낄 수 있으며 놀이를 통해서 자연스럽게 우리의 전통장단을 쉽게 익힌다는데 의의가 있다. 전래놀이노래「어깨동무」를 가지고 다음과 같은 연구방법과 활동단계로 오르프 음악놀이를 발전시켰다.

첫째, 전래놀이노래와 놀이가 잘 알려지고 접근하기 쉬운 곡을 선곡하였다.

둘째, 리듬 학습적인 요소로 한국 전통 장단을 익히는 데에 우선적으로 주안점을 두고 전래놀이노래를 선곡하였다.

셋째, 전통장단은 초등 및 중등 음악교재에 자주 나오는 단모리장단 「어깨동무」을 중심으로 전래놀이노래를 선곡하였다.

넷째, 전통장단은 장구 구음장단으로 말리듬 놀이와 신체타악기 반주 및 전통 춤사위를 활용한 춤추기 놀이를 통하여 익히도록 한다. 따라서 장구구음장단은 오스티나토와 다성부 합창의 기본소재가 된다.

다섯째, 전래놀이를 활용하여 주제에 맞는 <씨뿌리기>, <수확하기>의 즉흥적인 음악극 활동으로 발전시킨다.

여섯째, 합주활동에서는 전통 타악기로 장구, 소고 등을 활용하여 소고춤놀이를 한다. 전통춤사위는 비교적 접근하기 쉬운「뒷머리 쓸기」,「구슬돌기」,「소고 앞뒷면치기」등의 기본적인 춤사위로 한정하였다.

일곱째, 음악놀이는 탐색→ 리듬놀이→ 손기호로 노래 부르기→전통장단 탐색→ 캐논 (2성부 이상 다성부 합창)→ 리듬 오스티나토 반주(신체타악기합주) → 신체표현놀이(전래놀이)→전통춤사위 탐색 및 합주활동으로 구성된다.

여덟째, 위의 활동영역은 학습 환경과 학생의 수준에 따라 활동의 순서를 바꿀 수도 있고 생략될 수도 있다.

전통학습제재인 전래놀이노래, 전통악기, 전통춤사위는 민족 고유의 정서가 흐르고 있어 민족의 자긍심과 애정을 느낄 수 있으며 우리 민족의 정체성을 가지게 되는 좋은 학습제재가 될 수 있다.
